What is AI Study Buddy?
AI Study Buddy is a practical workshop that teaches students how to use artificial intelligence as a personal learning assistant.
Students learn a simple study process:
Understand → Ask → Practice → Test → Identify Weaknesses → Review
Instead of asking AI:
“Give me the answer.”
they learn to ask:
“Help me understand how to solve this.”
The goal is to help students become more capable and independent learners.
No programming or previous AI experience is required.

The purpose of AI Study Buddy is not to remove parents, teachers or tutors from education.
It is to help students become better at helping themselves.

What About Homework?
This workshop does not teach students to paste homework into ChatGPT and copy the answer.
Students learn the opposite approach.
Instead of:
“Solve this for me.”
they learn to ask:

“Give me a hint without giving me the answer.”
“Check my solution and tell me where I went wrong.”
The student remains responsible for thinking and solving.
What About Private Tutoring?
Private tutors can be extremely valuable when a student needs deeper instruction, structured support or specialist help.
AI Study Buddy is not a replacement for teachers or tutors.
Instead, it gives students another tool they can use:
- between tutoring sessions
- during independent study
- when a parent cannot help
- when a tutor is not immediately available

The objective is not to eliminate educational support.

Will AI do my child’s homework?
That is specifically what we teach students not to do.

Can this replace a private tutor?
No.
